Ticket Search

At the top of every page within your Helpdesk will be your Ticket quick search.

You can search for a specific ticket from anywhere, at any time. You can search by a number of different variables including ticket number, ticket title, tag or key word or phrase found within the ticket. Using the search will provide you a list of possible Tickets that match your search criteria to choose from.

Using the quick search field will take you to a results page listing tickets meeting the criteria of your search. There will also be a full search allowing you to search using various ticket metrics which will be auto populated with your original quick search query.

The Title/Ticket #/Summary allows you to search the title of the ticket, the number (if you know it) or a word or phrase contained within the body of the ticket.

To reduce down the search criteria you can add any number of fields to search including Client, Ticket Type, Created by etc. The more filters you add the easier it will be to find the results you require.

Once you've selected the additional filter you'd like to select simply click the + to add to your search criteria.

Each field you add can then be used to help filter down your search results. For example if you add the field Created By you can then choose the User you wish to search through for your chosen key word or words.

Your results can come back in various sort orders. You can choose to sort them by last reply date, created date, updated date and various others.

Lastly you can sort by direction either descending or ascending. And you can also choose whether you wish to include closed and resolved tickets in your search or whether you are only looking for open tickets.

If you need to clear the search at any time to restart a search with new search criteria you can use the grey Clear button at the bottom.
